Bemm River is situated approximately 450km east of Melbourne along the Princes Highway. Once past Orbost you travel for about 32km, turn right and travel south for about 23km. Please use caution when traveling at night as there is a lot of wildlife on the road after dark. If you are traveling from the east then Cann River is the last town before you turn left and head south towards our village. (see Maps) As you drive south, you will be traveling through the Bemm State Forest and the far eastern fringe of the Cape Conran Coastal Park. Once you reach the area where the road begins to snake downwards you will encounter the actual Bemm River. This river winds its way down from the mountains to the north and is fed by the Errinundra River, McKenzie River and Conbienbar River as well as many creeks and streams. You will run parallel with the river before it leaves to meander off through the farmland before finally spilling into Sydenham Inlet. Here is where you will find our town, nestled between the river, the inlet and the sea. So, browse through our site, see what we have to offer as a holiday destination and if you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us at community@bemmriver.org.au
