Bemm River Sewer Update

The first meeting of the Community Reference Group was held at the Bemm River Community Centre on Wednesday 19 August 2009.  Those present were ;

Several options were discussed for the re-use of effluent and the funding of the project was discussed. A rough estimate of the cost was given at $M 2,2 and funding from the government of $K 870 has been granted. Of the remaining EG Water is likely to put in about $K 870 leaving the rate payers with the remaining costs. The Council would be charged for the Caravan Park and the Community Centre.
